A trip to the discus exporter in Brazil.

Postby Mauricio Silva » Wed May 09, 2012 8:16 pm

Hi guys.

I was looking for new discus and decided to visit a WB Sabby, exporter nearby Brasília/Brasil, about 200 km.
After two and a half hours of travel we arrived to Goiânia city, located in central Brazil. We were received by one of the owners, Mr. Kamoshida. Before entering the hatchery we talked with the owner about the discus and projects.
Mr. Kamoshida said that there are over 1,200 wild discus in the hatchery.
So imagine the satisfaction of a discus lover to stay in a place like this.
There I learned that they classify the discus about the location and the type. And the fish are medicated against parasites.
On the occasion I chose nine discus to my small hatchery.
Below are some photos.
Hope you enjoy.
